Zero Waste Revolution Talk Story in Kailua

This free, public event will inspire the community with the success story of Kaʻōhao School (formerly known as Lanikai School) which leads the country as a zero waste school, composting all it's food waste, gardening, and more! Elementary students from the school will lead a presentation on how the school is nearly zero waste!

Kokua Hawaii Foundation will also present about Oʻahu's waste stream, discussing what happens to our trash and recycling, and why waste reduction and zero waste efforts are so important. You can also get a quick overview on important food waste and plastic reduction bills active this legislative session!

Free pupus from Bob's Pizzeria and Kalapawai Cafe & Deli will be offered.

Space is limited, so if you arrive late, it may be standing room only.

Please remember to bring a reusable water bottle! We also encourage bringing your own reusable a plate for food to help us reduce waste!

This event is co-hosted by Kailua Beach Adventures, Kokua Hawaii Foundation, and Plastic Free Hawaii-Kokua Hawaii Foundation.
