National Landscape Architecture Month — Preserving Cultural Landscapes

April 25, 2015 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Cultural Landscapes are all around us – from palace grounds, residential estates, parks, and campuses to military bases! Wendie McAllaster, historical landscape architect and principal with HHF Planners, will discuss the Cultural Landscape approach to historic preservation. This comprehensive approach to evaluating and protecting historic places incorporates the full realm of landscape features (such as vegetation, circulation, spatial organization, buildings, objects, archaeology) that collectively contributes to the landscape’s historic character and value.
