Ke Kumu ʻĀina Fall Break Program for Middle School Students

The Kohala Center’s free Ke Kumu ‘Āina Fall Break Program offers middle school students opportunities to learn about forestry and watershed conservation. Participants will learn to identify common native forest plants and their uses, understand the environments in which they grow, and engage in scientific field research. Students will meet in Waimea and enjoy daily field trips into the Kohala watershed, hands-on workshops, and ‘āina-based activities.

There is no cost to apply or participate! Healthy snacks and lunch provided.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until open spots are filled. Preference will be given to applicants who apply before Monday, October 2.
