Get the Drift and Bag It! Kickoff

“Get the Drift and Bag It!” returns September 19!

On that day, hundreds of thousands of volunteers worldwide will take part in the Ocean Conservancy's “International Coastal Cleanup” — what us affiliates of Keep the Hawaiian Islands Beautiful like to call “Get the Drift and Bag It!” in Hawai’i’ — in a global effort to turn the tide from litter deposition to litter prevention.

Join Mālama Maui Nui and Surfrider Foundation–Maui Chapter at the “Get the Drift and Bag It!” Maui Kickoff Event at Kahului Harbor Saturday, September 19 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Beyond picking up rubbish, sorting recyclables, and collecting valuable data used to identify litter patterns, we’ll ALSO be having a LOT of fun in the name of environmental stewardship! Fun times include:

* dressing up as your favorite sea creature!
* doing your best fish impressions in support of healthy oceans!
* chances to win merchandise and prizes from supporting businesses!
