Drawing with Oil Pastels

Shirley Dumo, a local artist, will be demonstrating the techniques of drawing using oil pastel and pencil on paper to children ages 5 to 10 years old. Shading, color blending, perspective and contrast will be discussed.
Children will be encouraged to draw and use oil pastels in a painterly manner. Using their imagination to tell a story with pictures will be encouraged and children will be given the opportunity to show their work and discuss ideas.
All supplies will be provided and reservations are required because space is limited.
Children must be accompanied by an adult/parent or caregiver.
