The University of Hawaiʻi continues to chart the course for 21st century campus sustainability through the 3rd Annual Hawaiʻi Sustainability in Higher Education Summit. This year’s event will be held at UH Mānoa’s Campus Center Ballroom, February 26–28.
Themed “Innovation and Action,” this year’s summit has a focus on collaboration, sharing and skill building for sustainability innovation and action in the University of Hawaiʻi 10 campus system, and at higher-education colleagues Hawaiʻi Pacific University, Brigham Young University–Hawaiʻi and Chaminade University.
The three-day conference will focus on policy and planning, program sharing and student leadership. Student leaders of the statewide Student Sustainability Coalition of Hawaiʻi are hosting a student summit designed to empower and connect students in their efforts towards sustainable campuses. Saturday’s student summit is free to all interested students. Students also receive more than half-off registration fees on Thursday and Friday. Scholarships to the summit are also available and students are encouraged to apply.
Registration for the event is now open and all are encouraged to attend and engage with, and learn from other passionate leaders in sustainability.
