Please join us at one of two locations for the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service Beach Cleanup! This national holiday is an opportunity to be of service in your local community in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s service to our country.
Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation will host two cleanups on Monday, January 16:
1) Kahuku Beach (James Campbell National Wildlife Refuge; meet at Mile Marker 14).
Check-in at 8:30am, Cleanup from 9:00am-11:00am
2) Kailua Beach Park (hosted by Kailua Beach Adventures)
Check-in at 9:00am, Cleanup from 9:30am-11:30am
A big thank you to Bee's Wrap for sponsoring this event and offering a free wrap to the first 350 volunteers who show up! Bee’s Wrap is a business offering beeswax-based wraps that serve as an alternative to single-use plastic wraps and bags!
Light snacks will be provided to volunteers.
Please bring a hat, sunscreen & a reusable water bottle for refilling!
