Learn to Be Financially Literate at Hawaii State Library May 12
“Know Your Legal Rights: How to Be Financially Akamai,” a free informational program for adults, will be presented at the Hawaii State Library’s First Floor Reading Room on Thursday, May 12 at 5:30 p.m.
Managing Attorney Dan O’Meara and AmeriCorps Advocate Dominic Jancaterino – two staff members of the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii’s Asset Protection Unit – will provide valuable tips on how consumers can become financially literate when dealing with major issues including planning for and paying bills, understanding credit reports, and avoiding debt. The 90-minute program will include a question-and-answer session.
This program is part of the “Know Your Legal Rights” series conducted by the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii at public libraries. The Legal Aid Society of Hawaii, AmeriCorps, and the Smart investing@your library® grant from the FINRA Investor Education Foundation and the American Library Association are sponsoring this program.
