AARP Retirement Workshops Offered at Pearl City Library on May 15
The American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) and the Hawaii State Public Library System will present “Better Late than Never,” two free workshops for adults on how to make the most of your future, at Pearl City Public Library on Sunday, May 15 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Meeting Room.
Joanna Amberger, Certified Financial Planner and AARP Volunteer Speaker, will present “Investment Basics & Saving Vehicles” at 1p.m. followed by “Understanding Social Security Retirement Benefits” at 3 p.m. Both workshops will include question-and-answer sessions.
“We are excited to partner with AARP to offer this opportunity for adults who are considering retirement, and would like to prepare for a new and exciting phase in their lives,” said State Librarian Stacey Aldrich. “These free workshops will provide information and insight into the choices that are available for creating a positive future.”
Registration for these workshops is suggested; please call the Library to register. Light refreshments will be provided.
