The Hawaiʻi Conservation Alliance (HCA) has been putting on the Hawaiʻi Conservation Conference for 22 years now. Each year, thousands of scientists and conservationists converge in Waikiki (Honolulu) to discuss the current state of Hawai’i’s natural wonders. Last year, they decided to go even further and get the community involved. As part of this push, just recently they rolled out a new web-based app – called Conservation Connections – to connect people and conservation groups, and get them involved in preserving, protecting, and restoring the natural and cultural resources of Hawai’i.

“ConservationConnections.org is a key initiative by the Hawaiʻi Conservation Alliance to increase support for conservation work across the Hawai’ian Islands,” said Lihla Noori, Executive Director of HCA. “The new web tool is a one-stop shop for anyone who is looking for opportunities to volunteer, intern, research, or donate to a diverse range of non-profits that are doing great work stewarding land, ocean and cultural sites.”
