Meet The Author, Get Writing and Publishing Tips at Kailua Library

November 19, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

“The Agony and Ecstasy of Writing,” a free presentation by author Craig B. Smith, will be offered at Kailua Public Library on Thursday, November 19 at 6 p.m. in the Adult Reading Room.

Smith, whose most popular book is “How the Great Pyramid Was Built,” was featured on the Arts and Entertainment Channel's “Great Builders of Egypt” and in PBS's three-hour series “Secrets of the Pharaohs.” Other notable books written by Smith include: “Extreme Waves” and “Counting the Days: POWs, Internees, and Stragglers of World War II in the Pacific.”

Smith will discuss his writing process, how he has gotten published, what publishers look for, how to write winning book proposals, and suggest marketing plans for a first-time author’s new book. The program will include a question-and-answer session.
This one-hour program is suitable for ages 12 through adults. Contact the Library as soon as possible if a sign language interpreter or other special accommodation is needed.

Kailua Public Library is located at 239 Kuulei Road. For more information, please call the Library at 266-9911.
