Free Comic Book Day & Cosplay Contest

All ages are welcome to visit the Kailua-Kona Public Library on Saturday, May 6, from 9 am to 5 pm to receive two free comic books while supplies last. Both the Young Adult Librarian and Children's Librarian will have comic books and giveaways for their respective age groups.

There will be a cosplay competition in the Young Adult section. The competition is open to 4th-12th graders. Your cosplay can be from any source, and original characters are welcome. Two winners will each get one $25 Regal Movie Theatre Gift Card!

Cosplay Competition schedule:
10:00-10:30: If you are interested in competiting in the cosplay competition, visit the Young Adult section to register.

10:30-11:00: The competition will begin, and will include audience participation.

Program schedule is subject to change. Children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver. Contact the library 15 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.
