Hanafuda Hawaiian Style

Have some family fun the day after Hinamatsuri (Girl’s Day)!
Helen Nakano, of Hanafuda Hawaii, will share information on Hawaiian culture and the endemic and indigenous species that inspired her unique Hanafuda cards. Participants will also learn and play Hanafuda, with the help of some Hanafuda Sensei. Card decks will also be available for sale at the program.
In-person sign-up at Mililani Public Library required. Space is limited. For ages 8 to 108. Children ages 8 and up must sign up to participate along with a responsible adult.
Program schedule is subject to change. Contact the library at least 10 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if other special accommodation is needed.
