Poi Pounding

Lono Logan is a cultural practitioner who has spent six years practicing, learning, teaching, and demonstrating the knowledge of cultivating and preparing kalo (taro) and pounding it into poi. Mr. Logan is also a professional photographer whose family has lived in Lā'ie for five generations. He hopes to inspire people to find their own kuleana, much like he found his six years ago, his purpose to share his family’s cultural knowledge of poi.
Join us for an informative overview of poi pounding in Hawai'i and experience a poi pounding demonstration and tasting session.
