Greywolf will discuss the history of where food came from, how we as people began cooking and how that process changed our future. This 45-minute program will begin in the distant past and cover how we transformed from simple to very complex ways of food preparation. Food prep tools from the stone age to pre-modern times will be on display. Greywolf is a Native American with over 10 years of experience in weapons smithery and is Hawaii’s only professional medieval armorer. Program is suitable for all ages. Young children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver.
Program is funded by the Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i. This is a production of the University of Hawaii at Manoa Outreach College’s Statewide Cultural Extension Program with additional funding and support provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, and the University of Hawaii.
