DESCRIPTION:State Librarian Stacey Aldrich\, First Lady Dawn Amano Ige\, and local dignitaries will present congratulatory messages. A Hawaiian Blessing\, displays\, and library tours will be offered. \n“Everyone deserves access to books and other information resources that nourish the mind and soul\,” said State Librarian Stacey Aldrich. “I am grateful to the current and past generations of staff who have dedicated their energy and passion to providing important services for 85 years.” \nLBPH is dedicated to creating equity of access to books and other resources for those who cannot read standard print because of visual or physical challenges. SUMMARY:BAMP Project presents The Struts
DESCRIPTION:Before even releasing their first album\, U.K.-bred four-piece The Struts opened for The Rolling Stones in front of a crowd of 80\,000 in Paris\, got hand-picked by Mötley Crüe to serve as the supporting act for their four last-ever performances\, and toured the U.S. on a string of sold-out shows that demanded the band move up to bigger venues to accommodate their fast-growing fanbase. Now with their full-length debut Everybody Wants\, lead vocalist Luke Spiller\, guitarist Adam Slack\, bassist Jed Elliott\, and drummer Gethin Davies reveal the supreme mix of massive riffs and powerfully catchy melodies that’s already slain so many adoring audiences around the globe.\nThe follow-up to Have You Heard—a 2015 EP whose lead single “Could Have Been Me” hit #1 on Spotify’s viral chart\, earned more than 2.5 million Vevo/YouTube views\, and shot to the top 5 on Modern Rock radio charts—Everybody Wants unleashes anthem after arena-ready anthem. Pairing up with producers like Gregg Alexander (former frontman for New Radicals) and Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith\, Mick Jagger) and recording in such far-flung locales as a refurbished London church and a studio in the Spanish region of Andalucía\, The Struts prove the iconic power that’s prompted Yahoo Music to name them “one of the most exciting and electric performers in rock today” and MTV to proclaim the band “well on their way to bringing rock & roll back to the forefront.” \nA local act to be determined will open the show. \nLounge Doors: 6:00pm (21 and up)\nHall Doors: 7:00pm (All ages accompanied by an adult)\nShow: 8:00pm (All ages accompanied by an adult)\nPrices: $27.00 in advance plus applicable fees\, increase day of show plus applicable fees \nTickets available Friday\, June 17th\, 2016 at 9AM:\nBampProject.com / JointheRepublik.com / Flavorus.com / Local Motion Stores / Navy / Hickam ITT Offices / Army LTS Offices / UH Campus Center / The Safehouse (the Lounge within The Republik) Tuesday through Saturday 6:00pm until 1:00am with a $2.00 service fee per ticket / The Republik Box Office Tuesday through Friday 10:00am until 6:00pm with a $2.00 service fee per ticket \nIf you’re not familiar with The Struts\, please visit http://www.thestruts.com/home.
