Both the late Eddie Kamae and Herb “Ohta-San” Ohta will be recognized by Ukulele Festival Hawaii at the eighth annual Ukulele Festival Hawaii Gala on Friday\, July 14\, 2017\, at the Ala Moana Hotel’s Hibiscus Ballroom beginning at 5:30 p.m. \nHawaiian Phenomenon Willie K\, Herb Ohta Jr. and Hawaii’s Ambassador of Aloha Danny Kaleikini will headline the evening\, which will also feature a delicious buffet dinner\, silent auction featuring an impressive array of ukuleles and drawing for a stunning ukulele are also part of the evening. \nIn addition\, the Ukulele Festival Hawaii College Scholarship\, the Eleanor Higa Performing Arts Foundation Scholarship\, Senator Michelle N. Kidani College Scholarship\, and Lili Anama Park Memorial Scholarship will be presented to five outstanding students who have an interest in the ukulele.
