SUMMARY:Waipahu High School Robotics Team Showcase
DESCRIPTION:The Marauder Rascals will be talking about the FIRST and VEX robotics competitions. Participants will be allowed to operate the FRC Robot from this year’s competition\, VEX Robot prototypes\, as well have a hands-on opportunity to learn about how robots are made. \nTeam 2477\, the Marauder Rascals\, is a Robotics Team that represents Waipahu High School.  As a team they aim to promote STEM (Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, and Mathematics) within their school and the community.  They will be presenting two programs at the Waipahu Library this summer June 10th and July 8th at 11:00am. Both programs are for all ages\, no registration required. These worlds with two suns present very interesting cases for studying habitability as they are subject to radiation from two stars. Dr. Nader Haghighipour\, an associate astronomer at the University of Hawaii at Manoa Institute for Astronomy\, will present a review of the detection of planets in binary stars and discuss how life can originate on these planets and sustain for a long time.
