SUMMARY:George Benson
DESCRIPTION:10-Time Grammy Award Winner\nGEORGE BENSON\nReturns to Hawaii! \nThursday\, September 22 – 7:30pm – Blaisdell Concert Hall \n10-time Grammy Award Winner George Benson returns to Hawaii for a very special concert on Thursday\, September 22nd! \nBenson\, recognized by peers and fans alike as an innovative music master\, fused his love of guitar-centric jazz and soul with R&B\, which resulted in a sound that dominated pop radio to the surprise and delight of a generation. \n“Breezin’”\, Benson’s 1976 release\, may be considered the first jazz album to hit platinum status (it has since gone triple-platinum)\, but its success is also measured by the sheer amount of airplay it received on mainstream radio stations: the album topped the jazz\, soul and pop charts simultaneously\, due in large part to the success of Benson’s soulful\, scat-laden cover of Leon Russell’s “This Masquerade.” \nSubsequent releases also received critical and commercial success\, fueled by hits like “Give Me the Night\,” “Turn Your Love Around\,” “The Greatest Love of All\,” “Being with You\,” “God Bless the Child” (with Al Jareau and Jill Scott) and “On Broadway”. \nReserved tickets\, priced at $59\, $69\, $79 and $99\, on sale at Blaisdell Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets including Walmart. Tickets can also be ordered by phone at 1-800-745-3000 or online at ticketmaster.com.

SUMMARY:3rd Annual Revive The Live Music Festival

In late 2012\, they launched the Revive the Live Campaign to bring Island music back to the forefront of Hawaii Entertainment.RTL \nIn September 2014\, they organized the Revive the Live Music Festival and brought local music back to Hawaii’s most iconic stage—The Waikiki Shell\, with over 4\,000 people in attendance. They followed the inaugural festival with the 2nd Annual Revive the Live Music Festival with a sold out crowd of over 8\,000 people. This year\, Hawaii’s Finest is expanding their annual Music festival to three nights\, adding a second night of Island music and a third night featuring Traditional Hawaiian and Contemporary music. \nRTLMF’s focus is to celebrate and perpetuate live Island and Hawaiian music in Hawaii. The three-night festival will feature 20 of the most talented Island Reggae and Hawaiian artists from the state. Friday and Saturday night (September 23 & 24) will focus on Island Reggae artists. Reuniting for the first time in years to perform at the Waikiki Shell for this event only will be some of Hawaii’s top artists including: Ho’onu’a\, Three Plus\, Opihi Pickers\, Norm\, Koa’uka\, Pati\, Nuff Sedd and Dani Girl. Quality\, affordability and supporting local music and businesses have always been a top priority. This festival proves just that by featuring 20 of Hawaii’s Top Artists in Hawaii’s Most Iconic Venue with 3-day festival passes for only $40. In addition to the very affordable festival passes\, Hawaii’s Finest will be hosting complementary events leading up to and during the festival weekend for music lovers to enjoy. \nHawaii’s Finest will be donating a portion of proceeds to the Revive the Live Kokua Concert Series as well as the Molokai High School Athletic and Academic Programs.
