I am a baby sister to three brothers\, three sisters and a big sister to one. The daughter of Christina Yamamoto and Karamo Chilombo but\, more relevantly\, I am the Daughter of Water\, Earth and the Sun. I signed to Epic/TUG as a 12 year old child\, and asked to be released from both companies at the age of 16 to finish high school. I escaped the made up world of Hollywood to experience the natural beauty of the real world. I am a writer\, so I never stopped writing. I am a singer\, so I never stopped singing. I am a student of life\, so I never stopped learning and experiencing. Shortly before I conceived my daughter\, I stepped back into the field and took a meeting with a label head. Performances will be New Year’s Eve at the Blaisdell Concert Hall in Honolulu and New Year’s Day at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center in Kahului. Making the celebration bigger than ever before\, the legendary comedian and host of HBO’s Real Time will welcome David Spade and Jeff Ross to the party for the first time ever. After sold-out shows for the past four years\, Maher continues to make good on his promise to be the “Don Ho of New Year’s.” \nAs the U.S. rings in a Presidential election year\, Maher will surely have plenty of material to draw from and there’s no telling what he will say. For over 20 years\, Maher\, who began his career as a stand-up comedian and still performs sold-out dates across the country\, has never held back and set the boundaries of where funny and political talk can go on American television. First on Politically Incorrect (Comedy Central\, ABC\, 1993-2002) and for the last 10 years on HBO’s Real Time\, Maher’s combination of unflinching honesty and big laughs has earned him 34 Emmy nominations; winning his first in 2014 as the Executive Producer for HBO’s Vice.
