Shading\, color blending\, perspective and contrast will be discussed.\nChildren will be encouraged to draw and use oil pastels in a painterly manner. Born Steven Markowitz and raised on Long Island\, Hoodie was frat-rap from the beginning\, having met producer RJF during an Alpha Epsilon Pi-hosted party at the University of Pennsylvania. The two would release the street albums Bagels & Beats and Making Waves and win MTV's Best Music on Campus Award in 2009\, but his big hit came with the 2010 track “You Are Not a Robot\,” which sampled Marina and the Diamonds' hit “I Am Not a Robot” and landed on his popular mixtape Pep Rally.  \nA headlining tour across the States followed before Hoodie made his official debut with the All American EP in 2012. Released on his own label\, the EP debuted at number ten on Billboard's Top Albums and was followed in 2013 by the acoustic EP Americoustic. DESCRIPTION:We are kicking off our reading program by honoring kid heroes throughout history with four activity stations that the whole family can enjoy.  \nChildren and their loved ones are invited to make crafts relating to Ruby Bridges\, John Darragh\, Jackie Mitchell and Abbie Burgess.  \nSome of the activities are:\n1)	Making and joining paper chains of unity inspired by Ruby Bridges\n2)	Cracking a secret code inspired by John Darragh\n3)	Designing your own Jersey in honor of Jackie Mitchell (participants may design one on paper or bring a plain white or colored shirt they want to decorate)\n4)	Making a lighthouse in honor of Abbie Burgess \nChildren may also register for Summer Reading and receive book logs\, book list and information regarding future programs. \nThis program is suitable for all ages.
