In June 2015\, Diana Ross performed her first ever Hawaii concerts to adoring sold out crowds at Neal S. Blaisdell Arena and Maui Arts & Cultural Center while smashing records at ticket box offices. The June 13 concert at Neal S. Blaisdell Arena marked Ms. Ross’ highest grossing U.S. concert in her remarkable touring history while her June 14 show became the highest grossing concert ever at the intimate Castle Theater at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. It was Dick Clark who said\, ‘Music is the soundtrack of our lives.’ So true. I am so excited to be receiving this honorable award.” The 2017 American Music Awards will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles this Sunday\, November 19 at 8 P.M. on ABC. \nDiana Ross’ music is timeless. Her music became the sound of young America in the ‘60s soon after she signed with Motown Records in 1961 with The Supremes. She embarked on her extraordinary solo career in 1970\, and has not stopped since. She is an icon in the entertainment industry selling over 100 million records and with 18 number one hits.
