SUMMARY:Meditative Artwork
DESCRIPTION:Can you remember the sense of peace and enjoyment you felt while coloring as a child? Use colored pencils or gel pens to create a meditative state. Repetitive motions such as coloring (or running\, walking\, dancing) can help strengthen your focus and easily shift your attention back to a relaxed state. Stressful thoughts and future worries can be simply pushed aside as you take time to enjoy the present. Contact the library 15 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if special accommodations are needed.

SUMMARY:Victoria & Abdul
DESCRIPTION:Friday & Saturday\, December 1 & 2 at 7PM\nMonday and Tuesday\, December 4 & 5 at 7PM\nPG-13\, 111 Minutes\, Biography/ Drama/ History\nDoors will open 30 minutes prior to each showing. Tickets are $8 General and $7 for Seniors & Students. \nStarring: Ali Fazal\, Judi Dench\, Adeel Akhtar\, Tim Pigott-Smith\nDirected by: Stephen Frears \nThe extraordinary true story of an unlikely friendship in the later years of Queen Victoria’s remarkable rule. When Abdul Karim\, a young clerk\, travels from India to participate in the Queen’s Golden Jubilee\, he is surprised to find favor with the Queen herself. As the Queen questions the constrictions of her long-held position\, the two forge an unlikely and devoted alliance with a loyalty to one another that her household and inner circle all attempt to destroy. As the friendship deepens\, the Queen begins to see a changing world through new eyes and joyfully reclaims her humanity. \n“Judi Dench can do no wrong\, and playing Queen Victoria for the second time in the richly satisfying Victoria and Abdul is an acting lesson par excellence that proves how rapturous it is to watch this great artist do everything right.” – New York Observer

SUMMARY:Electric Palms Presents Kayzo
DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to announce that Kayzo will be playing The Republik on Saturday\, December 2nd! \nBuy Tickets: https://www.seetickets.us/event/Kayzo/354364\n—–\nOver the past three years\, Houston born and now Los Angeles resident\, Hayden Capuozzo or KAYZO\, has become one of the most sought-after young producer/DJs in the business. The young prodigy has quickly grabbed attention of fans and fellow DJs with his versatile sound and catalog of original productions\, collaborations\, and remixes. With the establishment of his “Doghouse” brand\, fans have turned to KAYZO to seek more than his music. \nKAYZO has gone from a graduate student of the production school\, Icon Collective\, to becoming a winner of Insomniac’s Discovery Project which gave him first chance to showcase himself live. Three years later\, KAYZO can now be found traveling as an international DJ performing at festivals and headlining shows across the globe. KAYZO and his Doghouse stand for more than music but a mental determination with a motto that preaches ‘anything is possible as long as you put your mind to it.’ \nKAYZO has no boundaries as continues to break barriers that are set up before him. He produces music\, not defined as a genre but what he simply likes and enjoys creating. Much of his influence comes from the music he grew up on and the elements can be heard throughout the bodies of work. Outside of production\, his mixing and versatile style across multiple genres has created a unique and one of a kind performance. \nKAYZO and the Doghouse are growing fast and fierce. What he has accomplished in the past few years is only a testament of what is to come. The future is bright for KAYZO and the Doghouse and nobody knows that better them. \nDetails on Show:\nWhere: The Republik\, 1349 Kapiolani Blvd 3rd Floor\, Honolulu\, HI 96814\nWhen: Saturday\, December 2\, 2017\nLounge: 8:00 pm (21 and up)\nAll Doors:	9:00 pm (18 and up)\nShow: 9:00 pm (18 and up)\nPrices: $25 – $40 General Admission plus applicable fees
