SUMMARY:BAMP Project presents Allen Stone
DESCRIPTION:On his third full-length album\, soul artist Allen Stone proves himself deeply devoted to making uncompromisingly soulful music that transcends all pop convention. Made in collaboration with Swedish soul singer/songwriter/phenom Magnus Tingsek\, Radius captures the warm energy of that creative connection and transports the listener to a higher and more exalted plane. Now embarking even higher ATO Records will be releasing Radius Deluxe on March 25th\, which will include a second disc of 7 bonus tracks that didn’t make the original record release. \nAlong with immersing himself in a songwriting approach that involved unflinching examination of “some very dark and negative moments in my life\,” Stone shaped the sound and feel of Radius by pushing himself to “get past the boundaries of what I felt comfortable with\, so that I could progress into a whole new level of creativity.” Despite that sometimes-daunting process\, Radius wholly reveals Stone’s easy grace in blending everything from edgy soul-pop and earthy folk-rock to throwback R&B and Parliament-inspired funk. \nAn opening act will be announced soon. \nTickets available Friday\, January 22nd at 10pm\nBampproject.com / Jointherepublik.com / Flavorus.com / Local Motion Stores / Navy/Hickam ITT Offices / Army LTS Offices / UH Campus Center / The Safehouse (the Lounge within The Republik) Tues-Sat 6p-1a with a $2 service fee per ticket / The Republik Box Office Tues-Fri 10a-6p with a $2 service fee per ticket \nIf you’re not familiar with Allen Stone visit: http://www.allenstone.com

SUMMARY:BAMP Project & RVCA present Action Bronson
DESCRIPTION:A raunchy\, cylinder-shaped ginger of Eastern European ancestry might not be the first dude you'd peg for rap stardom\, but that's exactly the mantle Action Bronson is on the verge of possessing. Over the last two years\, the 28-year old Queens native has become one of hip-hop's most charismatic and colorful new characters\, thanks to his wicked sense of humor\, a buffet of impressive releases and the rare knack for updating cherished East Coast aesthetics into indisputably modern music. \nBronson’s insistent delivery and penchant for flamboyant phraseology initially drew some comparisons to Ghostface\, but he has long since matured beyond such superficialities. In 2011 alone\, he released Bon Appetit….Bitch!\, The Program EP\, Dr. Lecter and Well Done. 2012 introduced collaborations with artists like Earl Sweatshirt\, Riff Raff and SpaceGhostPurp\, as well as Blue Chips\, the brilliant street album produced by Party Supplies. In awarding the effort a lofty 8.1\, Pitchfork called Bronson “one of the most hilarious and creative writers in rap” who savagely captured the essence of New York’s seedy soul: “It is what a Weegee photograph would look like now.” \nA local opening act will be announced soon. \nDetails on the Show:\nWhere: The Republik\, 1349 Kapiolani Blvd 3rd Floor\, Honolulu\, HI 96814\nWhen: Thursday\, March 24th\, 2016\nLounge Doors: 6:00pm (21 and up)\nHall Doors: 7:00pm (All ages accompanied by an adult)\nShow: 9:00pm (All ages accompanied by an adult)\nPrices: $35.00 in advance plus applicable fees\, increase day of the show plus applicable fees \nTickets available Friday\, February 19th at 9:00am at:\nBampproject.com / Jointherepublik.com / Flavorus.com / Local Motion Stores / Navy/Hickam ITT Offices / Army LTS Offices / UH Campus Center / The Safehouse (the Lounge within The Republik) Tues-Sat 6p-1a with a $2 service fee per ticket / The Republik Box Office Tues-Fri 10a-6p with a $2 service fee per ticket

SUMMARY:Alignment Rest: Hips and Jaw with Katy Benjamin
DESCRIPTION:Cost $30 \nThe pelvis is the center of your universe! For most of us we are walking around with one hip higher than the other all day\, creating chronic imbalances in our muscles and in our yoga postures. These imbalances can lead to pain\, injury and diminished awareness of our bodies. In this 3 hour workshops we will explore Triplets Theory from the work of Dr. Steve Swidler\, and identify if misalignments are caused from our hips or from our Jaw! It is hard to believe\, but for many of us\, correcting how we hold our jaw can be the missing link in our chronic back pain\, migraines\, and even knee pain! Once identified\, you will learn techniques to level the pelvis each morning\, and prior to your yoga practices. \nWorkshop will conclude with a 30 minute Yoga Nidra Practice for central nervous system integration. Yoga Nidra is a systematic relaxation that utilizes a personal intent for maximum healing at the conscious\, subconscious and unconscious level. All Levels Welcome. \nTherapeutic Balls (for Jaw) will be available for purchase for $5\, and download code for Yoga Nidra for Cultivating Intent by Katy Benjamin will also be available for $3.
