Her team conducts studies on the ocean migrations and life histories of tunas\, billfish and sea turtles. Lutcavage’s research is known for its productive partnerships with fishermen\, and international collaborations.  Her long term study of Atlantic Bluefin tuna and pioneering use of electronic tags resulted in new understanding of Bluefin migration routes and ecology. With PIFG\, Molly hopes to support and expand local fishermen research partnerships to uncover the secrets of Hawaii’s tunas and billfish. She splits her home between Kauai and “Wicked Tuna’s” home port of Gloucester\, MA.
