This is an all ages accompanied by an adult event. \nPutting this into words hasn't been easy. When saying farewell\, it is hard to know where to start\, especially when there are so many reasons not to say it\, but the time has come to share this news. After countless discussions and months of thought\, we have decided that it is time for Yellowcard to come to an end. This will be our last album and our final world tour. \nThe decision was an incredibly difficult one for us to make. We considered so many things – our families\, our health\, our future endeavors. In the end we realized that this was the right time to step away and preserve the legacy and integrity of the band. It is with you\, the fans in mind\, that this decision was made\, We wanted to have the chance to share our farewell with as many fans around the world as we could\, and now is the right time to do just that \nWe went into this record knowing it would be the last\, which is why we chose to have Ryan Key and Ryan Mendez produce it. The motivation behind this was to make sure these songs came from a place that was deeply rooted in us. We wanted to push ourselves to create a lasting finale for this incredible story on our own. It is also why we chose to self-title the album. We were lucky to still have our friend and mentor\, Neal Avron\, on board as Executive Producer and mixer and we've made one of the strongest records of our career and a fitting final creative piece. \nWe will be forever grateful to Yellowcard fans all over the world for the opportunities you have given us. We have played shows for nearly two decades on six continents\, and had the chance to keep recording the music we love year after year. While it is with sadness that we say goodbye\, it is with gratitude and amazement that we look back on a career we can be proud of\, and were so very lucky to have had. \nPlease come and join us on our last trip around the globe. Their music features the use of a violin\, which brings a melodic element to the genre. They are best known for their singles “Ocean Avenue”\, “Lights and Sounds”\, and “Light Up the Sky”. DESCRIPTION:North Kohala Public Library in Kapaau will host  the first of three a Hawai’i History  “talk story” sessions with Kohala historian\, Boyd D. Bond\, at 6:30 p.m. on Monday\, February 6.   In the discussion\, “Growing of with Sugar\, Family Life on a Plantation\,” Bond will talk about plantation life in general interspersed with stories of his family as well as the heritage of families who worked for Kohala Sugar Company. \nBoyd Bond’s knowledge of Hawaii’s history stems from his academic studies and from a lifetime spent in Hawaii as a 6th generation descendent of early western settlers in Hawaii.  Boyd was raised in Hawaii in a sugar plantation family\, living on plantations throughout the state. \nOf his interest in Hawaiian history\, Bond says\, “I can’t ever remember a time when I wasn’t immersed in it.  Many of the stories of Hawaii’s history are also our family stories.”  Bond earned a BA in Hawaiian history from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and went on to earn a masters degree in education. \nProgram schedule is subject to change. Their debut release\, Kibudu-Mansatta-Abuku arrived on the small independent label Dip\, and linked the plight of urban black youth with the image of a greater African homeland. They soon followed it with Nyah Luv for Anchor.  \nSteel Pulse also received Grammy nominations for Victims (1991) and Rastafari Centennial(1992). In 1989\, the group contributed I Can't Stand it to the soundtrack of Spike Lee's film Do The Right Thing. In 2004\, Steel Pulse returned to their militant roots with African Holocaust – their eleventh studio album. With guest appearances by Damian Marley\, Capleton\, and Tiken Jah Fakoly.\nIn 2010\, they released a single Hold On 4 Haiti – 100% of the proceeds go to Haiti – to solar electrify health clinics through the Solar Electric Light Fund and Partners In Health. \nA local opening act will be announced soon.

This is an all age accompanied by an adult event. \nDuring the band's early years\, when they were fronted by former vocalist Dallas Taylor\, Underoath displayed a heavier style than their later\, more well-known work\, incorporating disparate influences from death and black metal. With Taylor\, they released Act of Depression\, Cries of the Past\, and The Changing of Times. Following Taylor's departure\, Spencer Chamberlain became lead vocalist. The band then released They're Only Chasing Safety and Define the Great Line\, gaining a certified gold rating and the highest-charting Christian album on The Billboard 200 since 1997\, respectively. These two albums have given them more mainstream and commercial success. They're Only Chasing Safety marked an extreme departure from their earlier work\, with extensive use of clean vocals and poppy rhythms\, and a near-complete eradication of breakdowns and the use of double-bass. Define The Great Line reflected another shift in style\, once again incorporating heavier styles intoUnderoath's sound. DESCRIPTION:Thursdays Jan 12th to Feb 9th\n10:30-11:45am 5 weeks series\n$15 for drop in or 5 series for $60 \nAn internationally-recognized form of hatha yoga\, Jivamukti Yoga is founded on five tenets—ahimsa (non-violence)\, bhakti(devotion)\, nada (music)\, shastra(scripture) and dhyana (meditation). The method emphasizes enlightenment or Self-realization as the goal of the practice\, hence the name Jivamukti\, which is a derivation of the Sanskrit word jivanmuktih\, meaning “liberation while living.” It centers on the importance of establishing an elevated—i.e.\, selfless—intention as the motivation for one's practice. Jivamukti is an integrated method\, incorporating elements of raja yoga (ethical\, physical\, breathing and meditative practices)\, bhakti yoga (devotional practices)\, karma yoga (practices of selfless service) and jñana yoga (intellectual and meditative practices). In the state of enlightenment\, one realizes the oneness or interconnectedness of all being; hence\, Jivamukti emphasizes the importance of veganism\, environmentalism and political activism as key practices toward the goal. Jivamukti Yoga teachers are trained in a demanding program that covers these practices\, as well as the traditional subjects such as asana practice and yoga philosophy. Jivamukti Yoga classes are rigorous\, and the goal of the practice—enlightenment—is remembered throughout by the teacher and student alike.
