SUMMARY:Intermediate Lindy Hop
DESCRIPTION:This class is taught by Andi Gil — The Lindy hop is an American dance that evolved in Harlem\, New York City\, in the 1920s and 1930s and originally evolved with the jazz music of that time. It was very popular during the Swing era of the late 1930s and early 1940s. Lindy was a fusion of many dances that preceded it or were popular during its development but is mainly based on jazz\, tap\, breakaway\, and Charleston.

SUMMARY:Hatha Yoga
DESCRIPTION:Most forms of yoga in the West can be classified as Hatha Yoga. Hatha simply refers to the practice of physical yoga postures\, meaning your Ashtanga\, vinyasa\, Iyengar and Power Yoga classes are all Hatha Yoga. The word “hatha” can be translated two ways: as “willful” or “forceful\,” or the yoga of activity\, and as “sun” (ha) and “moon” (tha)\, the yoga of balance. Hatha practices are designed to align and calm your body\, mind\, and spirit in preparation for meditation.

SUMMARY:Beginning Charleston
DESCRIPTION:This class is taught by Andi Gil — The Charleston is a dance named for the harbor city of Charleston\, South Carolina. SUMMARY:BAMP Project and 102.7 Da Bomb Present Gnash
DESCRIPTION:BAMP Project and 102.7 Da Bomb present gnash performing live in Honolulu at The Republik on Wednesday\, August 23rd\, 2017. Tickets will be available for an exclusive pre-sale to subscribers of the BAMP Blast eNewsletter on Thursday\, May 25th from 10:00am until 10:00pm. Tickets will be on sale to the General Public Friday\, May 26th at 10:00am at all locations listed below. This is an all ages accompanied with an adult event. \nLos Angeles-based producer Gnash (born Garrett Charles Nash) combines the emotional vulnerability of Bright Eyes with the sounds of laptop alt-R&B similar to the Weeknd's early releases. Gnash got his start as a DJ and then as one part of the duo Gemineyes with Harry Hudson. In 2014\, his reimagining of the O.T. Genasis track “CoCo” garnered attention from blogs\, which led to a string of digital singles released in 2015. His debut EP\, U\, was released in March of the same year. A mellow\, laid-back affair\, U employed gnash's rapping over woozy atmospherics\, bringing to mind Drake and Troye Sivan. At the end of the year\, me arrived. One year after his debut release\, he issued his third EP\, the seven-song us. Gnash described the emotive\, downtempo us as his personal sonic journey through life's ups and downs — breakups\, self-discovery\, searching for new experiences — ultimately leading to loving one's self. Lead single “i hate u\, i love u” featured a duet with Olivia O'Brien. A full roster of guest collaborators appeared on the EP\, such as Compton rapper Buddy\, Goody Grace\, Mark Johns\, Liphemra\, Wrenn\, Quin\, and Rosabeales. “I hate u\, i love u” would go on to surpass 350 million online streams\, top the Australian charts\, and enter the Billboard Top Ten in late 2016. \nLocal openers will be announced soon. \nTickets available on Friday\, May 26th at 10:00am at:\nBampProject.com / JointheRepublik.com / SeeTickets.us / Local Motion Stores / Navy/Hickam ITT Offices / Army LTS Offices / UH Campus Center / The Republik Box Office Tuesday through Friday
