SUMMARY:Sosupersam at The Safehouse
DESCRIPTION:BAMP Project & About the Goods\nPresents 143\nFeaturing Sosupersam\nAbout the Goods 4 year anniversary\nWith special guest Silk\nAt The Safehouse\, the lounge within The Republik\nFriday\, November 11th \nTickets available now at:\nBampProject.com / JointheRepublik.com / Flavorus.com / Local Motion Stores / Navy/Hickam ITT Offices / Army LTS Offices / UH Campus Center / The Republik Box Office Tuesday through Friday 10:00am until 6:00pm with a $2.00 service fee per ticket. \n143 is a night of slow jams\, love songs\, classic and future R&B music in Los Angeles. \n143 began in 2013 by three local LA DJ’s; Partytime\, siik\, and SOSUPERSAM\, who wanted to create an environment where Los Angelenos coulD hang out and pay homage to the almighty love song. The name “1-4-3” is a fond call back to the 90's pager code for “I love you.” 143 garnered such a strong response that within just a few months\, the party filled dive bars to capacity with a steady line of eager R&B enthusiasts down the block. \n143 is known for keeping the crowd on its toes with secret guest DJ's and surprise performances. Past guest DJs include ?uest Love\, Mr. Carmack\, A-Trak\, Shlohmo\, Ryan Hemsworth\, Ta-Ku. Sisqo and Jon B. have popped in for a surprise performance. Artists and DJ pals from all over the world like Nick Catchdubs\, Nina Las Vegas\, JMSN\, and Donnis have been spotted on any given night enjoying the vibe. \n143 has spread beyond Los Angeles city limits\, having appeared in New York City\, Honolulu\, Seattle\, Vancouver\, Boston\, San Francisco\, and San Diego\, with more locations on the horizon. \nSOSUPERSAM\, born Samantha Duenas\, is a native Los Angeles DJ\, vocalist\, and performing artist\, highly sought after for her talents behind the turntables and her style in front of them. Seamlessly bridging new underground sounds with rap\, classic hip hop\, R&B\, future bass\, and indie favorites\, she has created a unique lane for herself as a multi-hyphenate performer\, personality\, and style ambassador. She is in constant demand from music heads\, A-list celebrities\, and lifestyle brands alike. \nAs a DJ\, SOSUPERSAM is a familiar name in the international music circles. In la she is a hometown favorite\, regularly popping up to perform at the highly revered Low End Theory and The Do Over. She hosts and DJs “143\,” a popular r&b party that she co-founded. Nationally\, Sam has hit every major music hub on both coasts. She has opened for Little Dragon\, and Erykah Badu. At present\, SOSUPERSAM is a member of Soulection\, the worldwide record label and collective. With Soulection\, sam has continued to tour the world. \nTittahbyte started off as a music photojournalist then later began DJing in Honolulu\, Hawaii. Her activity in the hip-hop/nightlife entertainment scene has surely made its impact\, with multiple openings/closings for prominent artists such as Kehlani\, Tyler The Creator\, OG Maco\, Tinashe\, Jhené Aiko\, Childish Gambino\, Danny Brown\, Action Bronson\, G-Eazy\, Rae Sremmurd\, TOKimonsta\, Nguzunguzu\, Sosupersam\, Esta\, Mr. Carmack and more. She is also responsible for the creation of a number of local events promoting the underground music community in Hawaii. In 2014\, she was invited to participate in Bacardi Iron DJ\, a competition bringing out Honolulu’s best DJs. She was the first and only female that competed and even made it to the semi-finals. Tittahbyte is now the resident for The Republik / Safehouse\, Honolulu’s main concert venue. \n“‪When Delve was a young boy\, growing up in the mystic lands of Hawaii\, he journeyed deep into a volcano and discovered a magic stone that gave him unimaginable Dj powers. The depth of his musical knowledge became immeasurable and his turntable skills so magical it made even wizards feel like crumbs. He developed an impeccable balance between taste and execution which he uses to control any crowd with ease\, whipping them into a frenzy of smiles and screams. With this stone his talent became matched only by his handsomeness\, the likes of which only the best parties in the world have been lucky enough to witness. And if you say such a stone doesn't exist\, then how else can you explain DJ Delve and his superpowers?” – Redbull 3style Champion Fourcolorzack \nAbout The Goods\nIn 2012\, Robin Taclas (DJ Revise) and Riana Stellburg (Tittahbyte)\, who have alter egos as photographers\, journalists\, DJ’s\, and promoters\, combined forces to create a space and brand to serve Honolulu’s a thriving underground music scene\, which is as diverse as the people of the islands. \nAbout The Goods is both a shop and a brand. As a shop\, ATG carries clothing and gear from the US Mainland and the Pacific that represents ATG's quality\, values\, and style. As a brand\, ATG produces exclusive items meant to stand out in a tropical crowd\, and develop a unique spin on the staples of local clothing. In addition to products\, ATG serves local artists and their fans with in-store events\, concerts\, promotion\, DJ sets\, and gear. \nThis November About The Goods is celebrating being 4 years in business. On November 11th a collaboration capsule collection with friends 143 will be available for purchase at the show.
