SUMMARY:Epik High Live In Hawaii
DESCRIPTION:Epik High of YG Entertainment Live in Hawaii \nYG Recording Artist Epik High to Have their First Live Concert in Hawaii \nHonolulu\, Hawaii\, September 09\, 2015 — YG Recording artist\, and Korean music scene heavy-hitter\, EPIK HIGH\, will perform their first LIVE CONCERT in Hawaii at the Blaisdell Concert Hall on October 18th\, 2015. \nA milestone for the “k-pop” music scene in Hawaii\, doors for the EPIK HIGH concert are set to open at 6:00PM. Prior to the concert\, there will be a meet and greet to give fans a chance to enjoy a one-on-one experience with members\, TABLO\, MITHRA JIN and DJ TUKUTZ. \nFresh off their successful North American Tour that spanned across 9 cities in the United States and Canada\, this do-not-miss LIVE SHOW will be the debut concert for EPIK HIGH in Hawaii. Furthermore\, this is the first live concert for any YG recording artist in Hawaii\, to date. \nEPIK HIGH is not your typical “K-Pop” group and is an influencing force for an entire generation of rap artists in Korea. They first hit the underground hip-hop scene in 2003\, and have now evolved into mainstays of the Korean music scene. \nIt’s been over a decade and as usual EPIK HIGH continues to push all musical boundaries while currently performing at the highest artistic level of their career. EPIK HIGH’s most recent album\, released in October of 2014 and entitled “Shoebox”\, drew immense attention for the number of featured Korean artists including GAEKO of DYNAMIC DUO\, JONG WAN KIM from NELL\, WON SUN JO of ROLLER COSTER\, YUNHA\, YANKEE\, MYK\, JAY PARK as well as TAEYANG of BIGBANG on 2 separate tracks. The music video for the track “Born Hater” stands at a whopping 6.5 million YouTube views and features guest verses from major Korean hip-hop names BEENZINO\, VERBAL JINT\, iKON’s B.I. & BOBBY & WINNER’s MINO. \nEPIK HIGH has proven their worth many times over\, winning numerous prestigious awards\, and is the first Korean artist in history to reach the highly coveted No. 1 spot on the iTunes hip-hop charts in 2010 with the release of their album\, “Epilogue”\, shooting past artists like Jay-Z\, Kanye West\, and the Black Eyed Peas. \nEPIK HIGH’s leader\, TABLO\, has been paving the way for the growing popularity of Korean hip-hop worldwide. He is also a producer and judge on the explosive hip-hop survival show\, Show Me the Money 3\, which gained so much global attention that many of the show’s featured artists headlined segments at the Mnet Asian Music Awards\, Asia’s biggest music award show. TABLO was also a regular cast member on the award-winning\, hit reality TV show\, Superman is Back. \nThrough this exposure\, EPIK HIGH has become a household name among K-pop fans around the world and over a decade into the game\, EPIK HIGH’s popularity continues to soar to new heights\, with Hawaii’s shores as their next destination. \nSponsors for the concert include Ohana Pacific Bank and Palama Supermarket. \nFor more information about the concert and meet and greet visit: http://www.epikhighhawaii.com
