His music ranges from the wildly exuberant to hauntingly delicate\, presented with the rhythmic power that is his signature. \nAn independent artist\, Parashuram has published the only textbook on sarangi and is the recipient of national music awards in Nepal.  He has performed in many countries and released two solo CDs among others. Parashuram is Indian Classical Music Circle of Hawaii's Artist-in-Residence\, and  the Naada Brahma Music Academy.  He studied sarangi in Varanasi\, India and holds a Masters in Music from Prayag Sangit Samiti. \nThis program is free and is suitable for all ages. Please contact the library 10 days in advance to request a sign language interpreter or if other special accommodation is needed.

Jen will focus on the three areas that have led her writers toward success and that she believes make the difference between a non-working and a working writer.  \nThe areas she will cover include; Writing A Script They Can't Ignore\, Developing A Strong Personal Narrative\, and Strategy: Action Plan and Creating Your Brand. Grisanti started her career in 1992 as an assistant to Aaron Spelling\, who served as her mentor for 12 years\, and she quickly climbed the ranks and eventually ran Current Programs at Spelling Television Inc.\, covering all of Spelling’s shows including Beverly Hills\, 90210\, Melrose Place and Charmed. In 2004\, Grisanti was promoted to Vice President of Current Programs at CBS/Paramount where she covered numerous shows\, including Medium\, Numbers\, NCIS\, 4400 and Girlfriends. \nIn January 2008\, Grisanti launched Jen Grisanti Consultancy Inc.\, a highly successful consulting firm dedicated to helping talented writers break into the industry. Drawing on her experience as a studio executive where she gave daily notes to executive producers and showrunners\, Grisanti personally guides writers to shape their material\, hone their pitches and focus their careers.  \nSince launching the consulting firm\, Grisanti has worked with over 700 writers specializing in television\, features and novels.  Due to her expertise and mentorship\, sixty-five of her writers have staffed on television shows and twenty-eight have sold pilots\, four that that went to series.\nGrisanti has taught classes for the TV Writers Summit (in LA and London)\, The TV Writers Studio (in Australia)\,  The Big Island Film Festival\, Chicago Screenwriters Network\, Scriptwriters Network \, Screenwriting Expo\, the Great American Pitchfest\, the Northwestern Screenwriter’s\nGuild in Seattle\, and the Alameda’s Writer’s Group. His musical talent was recognized at the age of three\, followed quickly with piano lessons. Robert’s secondary education required participation in the Kamehameha Schools’ Concert Glee Club and Hawaiian Ensemble. He continued his music and hula education while attending UH. \nRobert & Roland\, The Brothers Cazimero\, changed the course of Hawaiian music forever. They have recorded close to 40 albums\, worked the finest venues in Hawaii & around the world\, won countless awards and been privileged to be woven in the fabric of their beloved Hawaii.
