DESCRIPTION:The Get Real! Financial Reality Fair is a  fun\, hands on interactive financial literacy tool.  Students in 10-12th grade will learn about managing personal finances in a realistic scenario way\, receiving a budget sheet and then making choices on purchasing a house\, car\, health plan and more.  But wait!–they must spin the “Wheel of Reality” where a random life event is applied to their budget worksheet.  Kathy Morris\, a Member Education Officer with a federal credit union on Oahu will host the event. Students will receive assistance from community members and credit union staff in making decisions about everyday expenses and get financial advice to help them create and stick to a realistic budget.  During these challenging economic times\, it’s more important than ever to educate our youth about their finances.  \nProgram schedule is subject to change. DESCRIPTION:Sunday\, September 24th from 1-3pm\nSunday\, October 29th from 1-3pm\nSunday\, December 3rd from 1-3pm\nRaja Yoga workshops incorporate all eight limbs of yoga; perfect for the intermediate or long-term yoga practitioner to explore the depths of yoga that normal weekly practices hint at but rarely reveal. These practices will begin with structured asana and flow sequences\, segue into restorative yoga\, and then finish with pranayama and meditation. Each class will incorporate a theme and teachings from classic yogic texts\, Ayurveda or mindfulness readings. Hands-on adjustments will be offered to participants who want them. This is Amanda's favorite type of practice and she is looking forward to offering these classes at Yoga Centered!
