SUMMARY:BAMP Project presents Theory of A Deadman
DESCRIPTION:BAMP Project presents Theory of A Deadman performing live in Honolulu at the Republik\,Sunday\, November 22nd\, 2015. Tickets go on sale Thursday\, September 10th at all the locations listed below. This is an All Ages accompanied by an Adult event. \nYou know what they say\, “When the going gets tough\, the tough get going.”\nIn Theory of a Deadman's case\, they go right to the studio. In the middle of 2013\, the platinum-selling Canadian quartet began working on what would become its fifth full-length album\, Savages [Roadrunner Records/604]. However\, everything in their lives rapidly and unexpectedly changed. Whether it be a shakeup at their label\, waning interest in rock at radio\, or the downturn of society at large\, a myriad of issues weighed heavy on members Tyler Connolly [Lead Vocals\, Lead Guitar]\, David Brenner [Rhythm Guitar]\, Dean Back [Bass]\, and Joey Dandeneau [Drums]. \nOnce again teaming with super producer Howard Benson [My Chemical Romance\, Halestorm] in the studio\, he tapped into the same robust riffing and primal power that coursed through the group's 2008 platinum-certified breakthrough\, Scars & Souvenirs—which yielded the #1 Mainstream Rock Radio smash “Bad Girlfriend” as well as “So Happy” and “By The Way”. Lyrically\, Connolly turned his attention to the state of the world around him and churned out the band's catchiest and most crushing statement yet. \n“We want to give fans a great Theory of a Deadman record\,” Connolly leaves off. “We owed them this album. It's completely real\, unrestrained\, and unbridled. We want their acceptance above all. This is for them\, and we're all extremely proud of it.” \nSavages is as tough as rock ‘n' roll gets. \nA local opening act to be announced. \nDetails on the Show:\nWhere: The Republik\, 1349 Kapiolani Blvd 3rd Floor\, Honolulu\, HI 96814\nWhen: Sunday\, November 22nd\, 2015\nLounge Doors: 6:00pm (21 and up)\nHall Doors: 7:00pm (All Ages accompanied by an Adult)\nShow: 8:00pm (All Ages accompanied by an Adult) \nTickets available at:\nBampproject.com / Jointherepublik.com / Flavorus.com / Some Local Motion Stores / Navy/Hickam ITT Offices / Army LTS Offices / UH Campus Center / The Safehouse (the Lounge within The Republik) Tuesday thru Saturday 6:00pm until 1:00am with a $2.00 per ticket Service Fee / The Republik Box Office Tuesday thru Friday 10:00 am until 6:00 pm. \nIf you’re not familiar with Theory of a Deadman please visit http://www.theoryofadeadman.com

ANess@CenterForFoodSafety.org\n————————————————————————————–\nGMO & chemical companies have taken over the food system in the U.S. It is making people sick\, and is negatively impacting our small farmers. Hawaii has become the outdoor testing grounds for these companies\, and they are polluting our communities\, making our children sick\, and damaging our natural resources. \nNow\, especially with the TPP negotiations moving forward\, Japan's food and agriculture system could be in danger too. Please come learn about this problem\, and how you can stop it. \nDr. Ashley Lukens\, the Program Director for the Hawaii Center for Food Safety will present their recent report- Pesticides in Paradise: Hawaii’s Health and Environment At Risk. \nThe Pesticide Report covers:\n-Pesticide and genetic engineering (GE) issues present in Hawaii.\n-Health and environmental concerns that are driving so many people in Hawaii to demand greater regulation of these chemical companies \nThe Center For Food Safety will continue to build support\, both locally and globally\, for our work to:\n-Protect Hawai‘i’s citizens\, particularly children\, from harmful pesticide exposure\n-Increase Hawai‘i’s local food production and food security. \nYou can download the full version of the report here\, in English:\nhttp://www.centerforfoodsafety.org/files/hawaii_second-edition_corrected_67845.pdf \nBrought to you by: The Center for Food Safety\, http://www.centerforfoodsafety.org/

SUMMARY:Public Presentation on GMO's and Pesticides
DESCRIPTION:I would like to invite you to join us for a presentation by Ashley Lukens\, the Program Director for the Hawaii Center for Food Safety on their recent report- Pesticides in Paradise: Hawaii’s Health and Environment At Risk\nThe Pesticide Report covers extensive ground on the pesticide and genetic engineering (GE) issues present in Hawaii. The report intends to resolve any confusion as to why so many people in the state are demanding greater regulation of the GE seed corn industry.\nOur hope is to build support for measures to protect Hawai‘i’s citizens\, particularly children\, from harmful pesticide exposure and for measures to increase Hawai‘i’s local food production and food security. To give you a general idea of what is covered in the report and what will be discussed at the presentation of the report; I have attached their key findings sheet for your review.\nYou can also download the full version of the report here:\nhttp://www.centerforfoodsafety.org/files/hawaii_second-edition_corrected_67845.pdf \nLook forward to seeing you there.

SUMMARY:Headstand\, Shoulderstand\, and The Importance of Your Core With Amanda Webster
DESCRIPTION:Headstand\, Shoulderstand &The Importance of Your Core With Amanda Webster\nNovember 21st 1-3pm $30 \nCome explore headstand and shoulderstand with an emphasis on the core stability necessary to practice these poses safely. We will be targeting the core muscles in order to transition in and out of inversions with concentration and control; focusing on alignment to create lightness and ease once upside-down; and addressing the mental or emotional obstacles\, such as fear of falling\, that may be getting in the way of your inversion practice. Lots of hands-on demonstrations\, adjustments and individual feedback!\nTaught by Amanda Webster\, RYT-500 ERYT-200 & Certified Ayurveda Counselor.
