DESCRIPTION:Announcing the Hilo Artists Hui ‘Life Drawing Sessions’ at Kukuau Studio\, every Tuesday evening\, starting November 7th\, 2017. \nThe sessions are open to all. If under 18 you must provide permission from a parent to attend.\n6 pm–9 pm.\n$10 per person.\nStarting promptly at 6 pm\, please arrive a few minutes early. \nThe sessions feature drawing from a nude or partially draped model in a traditional format\, starting with 1 minute gesture drawings and working up to 20 minute poses. Chairs are provided however\, participants must furnish their own drawing materials. Please bring your own drawing board or easel. 11” x 14” or larger pad of paper is recommended. All mediums are fine to use. If you wish to paint using traditional oils you must use a low odor\, artist grade solvent\, such as Gamblin Odorless Mineral spirits (OMS).  \nFor questions or additional information\,\ncall Robert Weiss at 557-0097.

The band has extended this year’s run to three shows on two islands. \nPhil  Lesh  &  Friends is  an  American  rock  band  formed  and  led  by Phil  Lesh\,  former  bassist  of the Grateful Dead. The Phil & Friends concept takes the music of the Grateful Dead and an ever-increasing number of influences and touring members to explore and interpret the music in new ways. Supporting  Phil  is  the  same  lineup  who  performed  during  last  year’s  successful  Hawaii  New Year’s run: Grahame Lesh\, Ross James\, Scott Law\, Alex Koford and Jason Crosby.
