DESCRIPTION:Announcing the Hilo Artists Hui ‘Life Drawing Sessions’ at Kukuau Studio\, every Tuesday evening\, starting November 7th\, 2017. \nThe sessions are open to all. If under 18 you must provide permission from a parent to attend.\n6 pm–9 pm.\n$10 per person.\nStarting promptly at 6 pm\, please arrive a few minutes early. \nThe sessions feature drawing from a nude or partially draped model in a traditional format\, starting with 1 minute gesture drawings and working up to 20 minute poses. Chairs are provided however\, participants must furnish their own drawing materials. Please bring your own drawing board or easel. 11” x 14” or larger pad of paper is recommended. All mediums are fine to use. DESCRIPTION:Fascia is dense\, tough tissue that surrounds muscles and bones. Fascia can be released through 3 main processes: compression\, stretching\, and twisting. Myofascial release utilizes compression while Yin yoga uses supported yoga poses to stretch and twist the fascia. Releasing fascia can improve mobility\, reduce tension and pressure in the musculoskeletal system\, decrease pain\, and improve circulation. Please bring 2 tennis balls. Extra balls will be available for use at the studio. No yoga experience is necessary.
