I began cooking at a very young age and have loved it ever since. When my grandmother took me in at the age of three\, after the passing of my parents\, she taught me how to cook. In Uganda\, learning how to cook is more than just following a recipe\, it is about honoring the earth\, learning how the food is grown\, and learning the values of being human. I was grateful for her care and for these important lessons. At the age of 5\, my lovely grandmother also passed away and I had to move again\, this time to my uncle’s place where I lived until the age of 19. At 19 I got scholarship to study at the University of Saint Thomas in Minnesota and from that point my life change for the better. I met my wife in Minnesota and we have two beautiful kids now. I also got my degree in general business management and my masters in human resources and change leadership. There are many things I like to do in life\, but cooking has remained my most cherished pastime. I love how food brings people to the earth and people to one another.
