Cash payments and all donations made will go towards supporting the Lanakila Kids High School Yoga Program. We are hoping to raise $300 by October 1st\, 2017 so that we can provide monthly yoga classes to these at-risk youth in the 2017-2018 school year.

DESCRIPTION:Author Katherine Nichols will provide a reading and brief background of her narrative nonfiction book DEEP WATER\, about Coronado’s infamous group of teen drug smugglers in the 1970s through the early 1980s. The program will conclude with a question and answer session. \nKatherine Nichols is a former teacher and longtime journalist who has contributed to numerous publications. She also worked as a staff writer for the Honolulu Advertiser and the Honolulu Star-Bulletin\, and freelanced regularly for Honolulu Magazine over ten years. \nThis one-hour program is suitable for ages 14 & older. \nProgram schedule is subject to change. This 45-minute program is suitable for ages 18 and older. \nABOUT THE SPEAKERS: Russ Awakuni is a veteran attorney with over 24 years of law experience. He serves as the managing attorney of Legal Aid’s Country Justice™ branches (rural Oahu)\, and is also the Secretary to the Hawaii State Bar Association (HSBA) Board.
