SUMMARY:Joy Formidable
DESCRIPTION:BAMP Project and Alt 105.9 present The Joy Formidable live in Honolulu at the Republik\, Sunday\, December 11th\, 2016. Tickets will be available exclusively to BAMP Blast eNewsletter Subscribers Thursday\, October 20th from 9:00am until 10:00pm online only. Tickets will be on sale to the General Public on Friday\, October 21st starting at 9:00am at all the locations listed below. This is an all ages accompanied by an adult event. \nThe Joy Formidable have never been one to shy away from a challenge. Once described by Rolling Stone as “wickedly bracing and Himalaya-huge;” the fantastic live band would now face the self-appointed challenge of ensuring their onstage energy and ability to connect with audiences translated via recording. That is the challenge that TJF took on for their upcoming third release. “We realized we needed to build a space and do it ourselves\, go back to being three people in a room again” said Ritzy (Rhiannon) Bryan regarding the band's decision to self-produce the new record. \nTwelve months later\, the band have made an album that has “musically and emotionally put them through the wringer” but as the band explains\, “it's fine for it to hurt\, to finish a record feeling exhausted\, we needed a good purge” \nContinuing on the path of taking matters into their own hands\, the group set out to build the right team around the new music by getting the legendary Alan Moulder to mix the album (The Killers\, Nine Inch Nails\, The Smashing Pumpkins\, etc) and by starting their own label and teaming up with Caroline Records as new partners for the release. \nA local opening act will be announced soon. \nDetails on the Show:\nWhere: The Republik\, 1349 Kapiolani Blvd 3rd Floor\, Honolulu\, HI 96814\nWhen: December 11th\, 2016\nLounge Doors: 6:00pm (21 and up)\nHall Doors: 7:00pm (All ages accompanied by an adult)\nShow: 8:00pm (All ages accompanied by an adult)\nPrices: $28.00 General Admission plus applicable fees\, increase on the day of the show plus applicable fees \nTickets available to the General Public Friday\, October 21st at 9:00am at:\nFlavorus.com / BampProject.com / JointheRepublik.com / Local Motion Stores / Navy/Hickam ITT Offices / Army LTS Offices / UH Campus Center / The Republik Box Office Tuesday through Friday 10:00am until 6:00pm with a $2.00 service fee per ticket. \nHigh-resolution photos and interviews upon request. \nFor more information on The Joy Formidable\, please visit http://www.thejoyformidable.com \nMahalo to our sponsors ROCKSTAR Energy Drink\, Bud Light and Wahoo's. \n####
