DESCRIPTION:The Hawaii State Library is honoring the anniversary of the December 7\, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor with a number of special exhibits.  Learn the story of the attack from those who witnessed\, remembered\, and wrote\, with an exhibit featuring snippets from the many memoirs and personal histories written about the precarious time.  Experience the attack through a display of the original news reports from the day when citizens realized “This was no drill!” \nBoth exhibits are accompanied by World War II era artifacts and photographs thanks to a partnership with Home of the Brave Museum and other lenders. \nThe exhibits and artifacts will be on view in the library’s First Floor Reading Room though the end of December\, during normal library hours.

This is an all ages accompanied by an adult event. \nA magazine recently spotlighted Of Mice & Men as one of the leaders of “the new metal revolution.” Since the 2010 release of their self-titled debut\, Of Mice& Men have hit No. 1 on Billboard\, blanketed rock radio airwaves and garnered critical acclaim while amassing over 20 million YouTube views and close to 5 million social media followers on the strength of an electrifying sound and live show. The latter has seen them play to packed-house crowds on headlining tours around the world and key slots on top festivals including the Reading & Leeds Festival\, where they were part of a star-studded lineup that included artists such as Queens of the Stone Age\, Arctic Monkeys\, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and many more. \nThey're currently in the studio working on the follow up to their album Restoring Force\, which hit No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart and No. 1 on both the Billboard Top Independent and Top Rock Albums Charts.
