Volunteer outplanting day trips and camping trips are available at our Ka‘ohe Resoration Area. \nWe are half way through our spring planting season on Mauna Kea. Come plant māmane and ‘iliahi at the Ka‘ohe Restoration Area. We'll be working during the week at about 6\,500 feet on the southwestern slope of Mauna Kea\, above the Kilohana Hunter Checking Station off the old Saddle Road.

DESCRIPTION:Learn to Be Financially Literate at Hawaii State Library May 12 \n“Know Your Legal Rights: How to Be Financially Akamai\,” a free informational program for adults\, will be presented at the Hawaii State Library’s First Floor Reading Room on Thursday\, May 12 at 5:30 p.m.      \nManaging Attorney Dan O’Meara and AmeriCorps Advocate Dominic Jancaterino – two staff members of the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii’s Asset Protection Unit – will provide valuable tips on how consumers can become financially literate when dealing with major issues including planning for and paying bills\, understanding credit reports\, and avoiding debt.  The 90-minute program will include a question-and-answer session.   \nThis program is part of the “Know Your Legal Rights” series conducted by the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii at public libraries.  The Legal Aid Society of Hawaii\, AmeriCorps\, and the Smart investing@your library® grant from the FINRA Investor Education Foundation and the American Library Association are sponsoring this program.     \nContact the Library as soon as possible if a sign language interpreter or other special accommodation is needed.   \nThe Hawaii State Library is located at 478 South King Street\, corner of South King and Punchbowl Streets.
