SUMMARY:Great American Cleanup Maui County part 3
DESCRIPTION:Mālama Maui Nui’s goal for this year’s local Great American Cleanup campaign (March 19- April 30) is to inspire and empower individuals and community groups to remove litter and debris from shorelines\, waterways\, roads\, and other public spaces. \nGreat American Cleanup volunteers are motivated by the notion that litter-free places allow for an ecosystem’s natural beauty to shine. Native species of plants and animals can thrive in healthy habitats\, and people can experience first-hand the richness of Hawai‘i’s pristine environment. \nIt is essential to engage the people who live in each community within Maui County to take the lead on how to care for the land where they live\, work\, and play. The residents of each area know it best\, and they have the potential to create the greatest impact on their community’s environmental health\, which directly influences our overall quality of life. \nThis year’s theme\, “Clean Your Block Party”\, emphasizes the power of the collaborative effort\, and how a group of individuals—of any age\, background\, or ability—can have a positive impact by taking action wherever they see a need. \nJoin us March 19 for the GAC Kickoff\, and be inspired to organize a Great American Cleanup of your own! Check out the GAC Coordinator Toolkit at MalamaMauiNui.org\, with best practices and activity ideas designed to help anyone conduct a Great American Cleanup event in their neighborhood.

SUMMARY:BAMP Project & Country 97.5 present Justin Moore & Rodney Atkins
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS ON SALE FRIDAY\, MARCH 4TH AT 10AM. \nJUSTIN MOORE – “It's a dirt road\, a fishing pole\, a cold beer sittin' on a tailgate\, an old church\, a kind word\, it's where I was born and raised\, Heaven ain't that far away.” The lyrics from Justin's self-penned song\, “Heaven Ain't That Far Away” typifies his philosophy on life. In music and in life\, Justin embodies the soul and character of a kid from a small town. \nHe was born and raised in Poyen\, Arkansas\, population 272. The town has no streetlights or street names. his grandfather “Paw” Charles gave each one of his children 15 acres of land to build their homes on and raise their families in – and that's exactly what they all did. Paw and grandma Faynette (Maw) raised cattle on their farm and from a young age Justin would help with the chores. He'd bush-hog the land and feed the cows and learn about hard work. \nHis other grandparents\, Tom and Becky (PaPa and Nanny) live a mile down the road in Poyen. PaPa took Justin out to his first deer stand before he was one year old. He taught him how to hunt and fish and they haven't missed a season since Justin was a boy. \nRODNEY ATKINS – Greatest Hits is Atkins’ fifth album via longtime label home Curb Records. His last studio album\, Take A Back Road (produced by Ted Hewitt)\, yielded Atkins’ sixth career No. 1 hit and fastest-‐rising single to date with the title track. “Take A Back Road\,” written by Luke Laird and Rhett Akins\, was also named Song of the Year at the 2012 BMI Awards and marked Rodney’s third Song of the Year win -‐-‐ “Watching You” (2007 / Brian White) and “If You’re Going Through Hell” (2006 / Sam and Annie Tate) also earned the title. \nWhen he’s not in the studio working on new music\, Rodney is working hard out on the road\, connecting with loyal fans in cities across the country. An avid supporter of our military\, he completed his third USO entertainment tour to Kuwait and Afghanistan in 2014\, also one of the last entertainment tours to Afghanistan\, and continues to headline dates across the country. \nTickets available at: Bampproject.com / Ticketmaster.com\, all Ticketmaster outlets including the Blaisdell Box Office / Walmart stores on Oahu\, Maui\, Kauai and the Big Island / or charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000.
