Native species of plants and animals can thrive in healthy habitats\, and people can experience first-hand the richness of Hawai‘i’s pristine environment. \nIt is essential to engage the people who live in each community within Maui County to take the lead on how to care for the land where they live\, work\, and play. The residents of each area know it best\, and they have the potential to create the greatest impact on their community’s environmental health\, which directly influences our overall quality of life. \nThis year’s theme\, “Clean Your Block Party”\, emphasizes the power of the collaborative effort\, and how a group of individuals—of any age\, background\, or ability—can have a positive impact by taking action wherever they see a need. \nJoin us March 19 for the GAC Kickoff\, and be inspired to organize a Great American Cleanup of your own! Each year members of the Royal Societies participate and rare Hawaiian flags of the Hawaiian Kingdom are featured.  \nThe Ho`olaule`a/Ho`ike`ike at Kapi`olani Park features native Hawaiian arts and crafts\, exhibits by various Native Hawaiian organizations and businesses\, and rarely available food and treats. Hawaiian musicians and Hula fill the afternoon with entertainment.

DESCRIPTION:Cost $30 \nThe pelvis is the center of your universe! For most of us we are walking around with one hip higher than the other all day\, creating chronic imbalances in our muscles and in our yoga postures. These imbalances can lead to pain\, injury and diminished awareness of our bodies.  In this 3 hour workshops we will explore Triplets Theory from the work of Dr. Steve Swidler\, and identify if misalignments are caused from our hips or from our Jaw! It is hard to believe\, but for many of us\, correcting how we hold our jaw can be the missing link in our chronic back pain\, migraines\, and even knee pain! Once identified\, you will learn techniques to level the pelvis each morning\, and prior to your yoga practices.  \nWorkshop will conclude with a 30 minute Yoga Nidra Practice for central nervous system integration. Yoga Nidra is a systematic relaxation that utilizes a personal intent for maximum healing at the conscious\, subconscious and unconscious level.
