DESCRIPTION:In recognition of Hawaii Fashion Month\, the Hawaii State Library presents a new exhibit\, “Fit to Print: Fifty Years of Fashion Advice from Hawaii's Magazines.”  Over the years\, magazines in Hawaii have helped illustrate the “now” fashions for the islands\, from showcasing the next season’s silhouette to introducing the latest back-to-school looks.  This exhibit takes a look back at trending fashions from 1950-2000\, as seen in the pages of Hawaii’s popular magazines.  The exhibit opens Wednesday\, November 4\, 2015\, and runs through November 30\, 2015.  The exhibit\, located in the First Floor Reading Room\, is free and open during the library's regular hours.

DESCRIPTION:BAMP Project presents A Day To Remember performing live in Honolulu at the Republik\, Wednesday\, November 18th\, 2015. Tickets on sale Friday\, October 2nd at 9:00am at all the locations listed below. This is an All Ages accompanied by an Adult event. \nSince their formation in 2003\, Ocala\, Florida’s A Day To Remember have grown from a small band with a dedicated local fan-base into a worldwide phenomenon\, gaining the respect and adoration from their peers as much as their fans. Over the course of the band’s career\, they have sold out entire continental tours\, landed two Top 25 Billboard debuts and topped the Billboard Indie Albums Charts. The band has sold over a million albums. The band’s most recent LP Common Courtesy was released on the band’s own label\, ADTR Records\, in late 2013. \nIn the summer of 2015\, A Day To Remember played numerous festivals across Europe including Download Festival’s main stage\, Rock am Ring/Rock im Park and Graspop.
