SUMMARY:My Mauna Kea - a volunteer experience like no other
DESCRIPTION:A Volunteer Experience like no other… Departing from The Mauna Kea Beach Hotel\, we’ll ascend the mountain to the Puu Laau dry forest- the last remaining habitat of the Palila bird. After climbing off-road into the cool dry climate above 6\,000 ft. elevation we’ll take an easy forest walk in search of the Palila and other native Hawaiian birds. Following the walk we’ll travel to our worksite and join a volunteer from the Mauna Kea Forest Restoration Project for a deli style lunch in the forest. After lunch its off to work with your Restoration Project volunteer\, collecting precious Mamane seeds or planting trees that will help to re-establish the endangered Palila’s habitat. Departing this precious habitat\, we’ll make our way back down the mountain reflecting upon the positive impact our day will have on generations to come. \nSign up now: http://www.hawaii-forest.com/index.php/tours/my-maunakea

SUMMARY:SOLD OUT! BAMP Project presents Incubus
DESCRIPTION:THIS SHOW IS SOLD OUT. \nBAMP Project presents Incubus performing an intimate live show in Honolulu at The Republik Monday\, March 16th and\nTuesday\, March 17th\, 2015. This event is open to all ages accompanied by an adult. \nIncubus brought together hard rock\, metal\, funk and pop melodies to great success in the first decade of the 21st century. A hit with both modern rock and mainstream audiences\, Incubus conquered radio with a series of relationship songs that may have sanded down the band’s rough edges but secured a large fan following. Along the way\, Incubus have had four singles reach No. 1 on the Billboard modern rock chart. \nIncubus began to establish their identity on 1999’s Make Yourself. Powered by the hit mid-tempo ballad “Drive\,” Make Yourself found Incubus writing in a more melodic vein and eschewing some of their previous funk-metal tendencies. Headbangers were disappointed\, but the move to a more pop-friendly approach paid off with a growing fan base and an engaging\, layered sound. Make Yourself eventually went double platinum and put Incubus on the national map. \nDetails on the Show:\nLounge Doors: 6:00pm (21 and over)\nHall: 7:00pm (All ages accompanied by adult)\nShow: 8:00pm (All ages accompanied by adult)\nPrices: $57.50 in advance plus applicable fees\, increase day of the show plus applicable fees. \nMahalo to our sponsors: ROCKSTAR Energy Drink\, Bud Light and Wahoo’s Hawaii.
